When did you first start expecting the worst?
Comment below.
For many men, it didn't start yesterday. It started so early that always expecting something to go wrong simply became normal. You may not even remember when it began. Growing up in an environment where you had to stay alert, read people's moods, prepare for disappointment, or brace for the next painful moment teaches your nervous system that danger is always just around the corner. What once helped you survive may still be shaping how you experience relationships, opportunities, and everyday life today—even when you're finally safe.
